I bought a Whirlpool duet washer and dryer. These appliances are still under one-year warrantee. My washing machine was broken for four weeks, and they have been unable to receive all of the parts needed to repair it. They have made three appointments to fix the machine, telling me that they have the parts and only to cancel the appointment the night before. I have tried to get Pacific Sales to exchange the broken machine, but they will not do that or compensate in any way. This is a top of the line model; I would have been better off with a low-priced model, and I might actually have a machine that worked. Whirlpool supposedly had the parts on back order, which is not what Whirlpool informed me when I was able to reach them.

The smell from the washer has gotten so bad we have to keep the door closed to our laundry room, or the smell will permeate the whole front part of the house, as it is we have to keep the door to garage which is adjacent to laundry room open to air out laundry room. Our friends and guests, are aways telling us we have water leak or something mildewing, or rotting in our house. The washer works well, and I cant find any buildup. We frequently run it through clean washer cycle, it smells OK for a hour or two, and odor returns!

Told us they were ordering parts. Never heard from anyone. Called service contractor and they said never received parts. Called January. WP told us that because it was a new model, they didnt have the parts. We asked them to replace the unit. WP called us and said they would replace the unit and it would arrive in late January. NO CALL. Called 2/22 and said, no similar units available. Ask them to upgrade me if there were units available. Said they would and the inventory of the upgraded unit was promising. Would get a call from delivery company for a 3/6 delivery and install. 3/2: Called because hadnt heard from anyone and called WP. Today Katrina ID # ** tells me they are making the new upgraded unit with an anticipated delivery of MID MARCH. I just about flipped my lid. I asked for a supervisor of which she said she was a SR support specialist. I asked that this be escalated and I get a call regarding status. She advised that she would inquire and call me back. Likely shouldnt hold my breath or try to call back because you are on hold for up to 1-2 hours. Just to clarify, have never had an issue with Whirlpool. Every appliance we have in our home is Whirlpool. I just cant believe this experience. I am going to the media on my next stop.

Secondly the Normal setting will not allow you to spin on low, your choice is high or no spin. High tangles your pants, slacks, shirts, etc. No spin leaves them soaking wet. Also its a water safer but never, never, never covers the clothes in water, and sometimes they dont come out smelling so clean. I dont save water if I have to rewash two or three times. Absolutely hate this washing machine. When I get enough money I am going back to the old agitator model and not any Whirlpool either. Oh and the other thing, you cant just throw you clothes in the washer, you must arrange then to the outside of the center itty bitty agitator. Hate it.

Then it also would not spin dry the clothes - they would come out completely soaked. Repair guy came out and fixed it. Lasted for about 1 year - same thing again. Lasted about 1.5 years this time and now the loud grinding is back and my wife - who Ive heard cuss just a couple times in 20+ years - said, This ** thing sucks. The clothes are soaked. I cant stand this washing machine. So, Off we go to buy a new machine. Definitely not a Whirlpool though. Id give this machine 1 star because it does a decent job for a while but major repairs 3 times in five years is not what I deem an acceptable appliance.

This is a comment for the person with the ice maker problem. I have a side-by-side, in-door ice dispenser that clogs up. First sign of problem is either the ice wont come out or it comes out crushed. What happens is frost builds up in the path the ice takes at a couple of different points. The only solution I have found is as soon as the problem starts I turn off the ice maker using the switch on the inside of the freezer. Then let it empty with normal use (if you wait too long youve increased your problems). The release button for the ice bin has frozen by now so you cant just lift it out. The bin needs to be empty. When it is empty, work the bin loose and take it out. Youll find that frost and maybe cubes have collected, frozen and blocked the passage. Be sure to turn the ice bin on its side and spray water into the undercarriage to melt and remove all the ice build up there. I use a hot sponge to melt the frost in the ice tube and then dry everything. This gets messy so be prepared to have water on the floor. Dry the ice bin and reinstall it. Ice cubes will be ready to drop from the ice maker so it wont be long until you have plenty. I live in Florida with high humidity so need to go through this process about once a month. Its a pain, but now it is just part of owning this unit. Good luck and hope this helps.

I called back after a few days to speak with the Exchange department and Mindy told me that I had to pay $1600 to get the exchange! When I asked to have the call escalated she flatly refused! What kind of corporation is Whirlpool that would treat customers this way? Never mind that the quality of their products gets worse with every passing year! Made to break so they can force you to buy a new one! Ive been without a refrigerator for 8 days already and cant feed my family properly with no place to store food!

Their water heater is the worst ever! I will never buy another Whirlpool product. We purchased our water heater on January 17, 2010. We had to have the entire electronic system replaced in August 2011, including the lower element, control unit, thermisol, and electronic. Now, just a few short months later, the system is not working again, plus, the containment unit failed, flooding our basem*nt. When we called Whirlpool, we were treated callously and rudely. Now, we have to pay to have the old unit removed, and a new one installed (they told us to throw it in our trunk and return it to Lowes, as if). Why did we pay to have this warranty when both the product, and the warranty are junk? Never, ever again! While Im at it, I should add that our range, and refrigerator are also made by Whirlpool, and those too, are pieces of junk. I guess were bucking up, and scheduling a new installation. If there are any further problems, I will be contacting an attorney.

Interior dimensions and layout are more than perfect for my uses. This particular dishwasher is built in so blends aesthetically into the design of the kitchen seamlessly. The product has a drying system which successfully blows air over the top tray to eliminate wet areas within depressions of crockery, glass, and so forth, its excellent. There is also a light steam setting which removes tough deposits from surfaces.

What was supposed to be one of the quietest washers on the market was far from it! -- loud grinding & thumping noises when the spin cycle would kick in. Whirlpool service dept was called and a repair tech was dispatched - 4 TIMES! The tech from Appliance Science spends most of his time on his phone talking to tech support, and has pretty much changed out parts at will! The motherboard, the pump, the clutch, the splutch have all been changed, to no use!We still experience problems with the washer NOT spinning, or only spinning for a short time, and the clothes still soaking wet! Its a good thing the dryer works well, because the washer is a dud, and we cant do a damn thing about it! Weve been told by Whirlpool service that since we have a repair warranty, we cannot get a replacement washer because we dont have a replacement warranty. Ive never heard something so ridiculous! Color us highly dissatisfied in TX!

Bought the Whirlpool Cabrio washer (WTW7300DW) and dryer (WED7300DW1) about 8 months ago. The washer always leaves white debris on the dark clothes - looks like detergent. Except I use blue liquid detergent. It seems like the inside, bottom of the drum is deteriorating and sticking to the clothes, since there is nothing that is white in the washer. I have run it through the clean cycle several times with the recommended washer cleaning product (the brand that came as a sample with the washer). That did not help. Also, we have a dog, our old washer used to rinse out a lot of dog hair from the bottom of our socks, etc. My filter for my drain hose would always have dog hair in it. With this washer, there is no dog hair being rinsed out at all. Lint and dog hair is all through the clothes after the cycle is over. Makes me wonder where the dirt is going, then.The clothes are so twisted after washing. Anything with long sleeves get tied up around other clothes. This seems very rough to wash clothes this way. Also, if you dont use the deep water setting, its likely not to get parts of the clothes even wet. I had a gray hooded sweatshirt go through a whole wash cycle and there were spots all over it that never even got wet at all. The dryer power button is very temperamental. Sometimes I have to hit it 6 - 7 times, at different angles, until I hit it just right to get it to turn on. Other times it just turns right on. There are just 2 of us so I only do 10 - 12 loads of clothes a month. After reading all the awful reviews, I fear that these problems, which are becoming evident now, will only get worse. Yet I only have 4 more months until the warranty runs out.

A Whirlpool hot water heater in an apartment I own would not stay lit. A plumber came to service and told me I needed a part from Whirlpool and that no one in town carried them. I called Whirlpool and after providing all information about the unit, she informed me that she would not send me the part because the serial number was not registered in my name. I explained to her that I purchased the building and did not install the water heater that a prior owner had installed it. All I wanted was a repair part. The Whirlpool rep refused to sell me a part unless I could provide a bill of sale where I purchased the tank. The part cost $41 which I was more than happy to pay for regardless of any warranty coverage. I have an obligation to provide services to my tenants. Being unable to repair the tank for a problem which appears to be commonplace for this brand, I had to replace with a new tank at a cost of $1380.00.

I bought this dishwasher in Nov. 2018 to replace one that was barely working. I have enjoyed using it much more than my old one. Its very quiet and does a great job of cleaning dishes, pans and silverware. The only problem we had was installing it. The leveling screws do not hold their height adjustment when the dishwasher is pushed across the floor during installation because the leveling screw pad was changed from steel to plastic and the tapped hole for the leveling screw is too loose. The effect of this - whereas the steel pad would slide the plastic pad will grab, turn and move the leveling screw out of adjustment. Especially if its tapped hole is too loose. So we went to Home Depot and bought 4 5/16 nuts and used them as lock nuts on the 4 leveling screws. This cost 50 cents. Once we installed it everything worked perfectly. It does take longer to complete a cycle than my old one - 3 hours vs. 2 but it uses less water and does a great job of cleaning. You must use a drying agent with your dish soap or it wont get dry enough. Also, if you use the short 1 hour wash it wont have as much time to dry and some dishes wont be completely dry. I usually wait to do a full wash with the normal cycle - 3 hour.

Whirlpool Washer WTW8700EC + Dryer WGD8700EC. Bought to replace a 35-year-old Whirlpool set that is still working and had no repairs in that 35 years of ownership. Gave to family member and its working well. Was not a cheap item but well worth the money. It performs beautifully. I chose Whirlpool. It is a proven brand with a long history of reliability. When I bought my last Whirlpool, I bought the top of the line model washer and dryer. They say you get what you pay for and that holds true in my case as has with many others who believe it! So this time I did the same thing and bought the best top loader they had. It has many options I still need to learn. I just use it like the old machine and dont need to worry about types of fabrics or making mistakes. Just follow the instructions for detergent and softeners and all is good. This machine cleans as great as the old one without beating the clothes to death. New agitator design keeps from paddling the clothes, so I dont need to use the gentle cycle or medium to preserve the clothes. The dryer I can say is most efficient as I noticed it took far less time to dry, and notice a small drop in my electric bill and gas bill. I think this will be my last machine ever needed. I do take care of my things and I do clean and polish my machines, they are an investment like a car or house. Front loaders have a lot of problems with leaks from the doors. Will stick with top load only!

Because of some previous issues we had had with a dishwasher we had bought, and at the direction of a repairman, we bought the 4 year extended warranty when we bought the washing machine and dryer. Thank heavens!!! About 3 months after the manufacturers warranty expired, I began to have issues with the washer. Again, thank heavens I had purchased the warranty through Lowes because after 6 visits from the repairman to fix one problem after another, Lowes finally junked the machine and said it was no longer cost effective to try to repair it. I was SO frustrated! And, attempts to contact Whirlpool regarding the issues were COMPLETELY useless!!! Thinking it was just a fluke, I replaced the broken washer with another exact model (I know, I know... should have done my homework!).This time, after replacing the motherboard within two months of owning the new machine, the machine began to work fine, and washed great! Again, I thought I had just gotten a lemon with the previous machine. But, here we are 4 years into owning the new one, and it has completely quit working. Clothes smelled like mildew despite cleaning the machine as recommended. So, I called out a repairman, he said the transmission had gone out and it would be cheaper to just replace the machine. What?? I spent almost $700 on it only 4 years ago! When I told him this, his response was that he had seen repeated problems with this machine and felt like they were disposable washing machines that you had to figure would only last a few years before having to be replaced. Again, WHAT??I dont know about everyone else, but I dont have $700 to throw around every 3-4 years to replace new appliances because the manufacturers cant/wont make a better product. We had owned a Whirlpool dishwasher, and it had all kinds of problems too. So, once again, I contacted Whirlpool about the washing machine and got nowhere!!! SO disappointing!!! Absolutely the WORST customer service I have EVER seen!!! On hold forever, only to talk to a customer service rep who not only sounds bored to death with their job, but certainly less than sympathetic (probably from having to field questions all day long about the poor quality of the product), and less than helpful because Whirlpool has no desire to fix the issues. Needless to say, I will NEVER own another Whirlpool appliance again! SO disappointed!!!

I pulled out a pair of pants I had worn while cleaning my attic and the cobwebs were still attached to the legs! Whirlpool basically told me, Tough luck, you bought it, were not doing anything, when I complained the day I bought it, and now years later it it continues to get worse. Unlike the Whirlpool ice maker, it makes ice. I promptly removed the Whirlpool ice maker FOR THE LAST TIME, and sent it to the dump, where it belongs. Goodbye Whirlpool! If that is the best you can produce, you will not receive any more of my hard earned money!

My Whirlpool Cabrio WTW7800 was bought 1 and 1/2 years ago. The lid is glass with a plastic edge. The plastic part of the lid next to the glass and hinge is cracking causing the glass to stick up. It is cracked from the top of the lid toward the base if the lid were closed. The only way this could happen if it werent a manufacturer defect would be if someone were to get inside of the washer with the lid locked and try to push up to get out right at the hinges. I have noticed several other complaints of the same problem on this website with the same model. Clearly this is a manufacturer defect. I am on the phone with Whirlpool now.

I have replaced motherboard in washer, belt and sensor in dryer, the washer has had mold in it since week one. Ive tried to clean it but just keep coming back. All my clothes smell like mold and I already have lung problems! Cant afford to buy new right now. Am posting in regards to a brand new dishwasher that I purchased the first part of February 2020 from Menards. The dishwasher I bought is Model # WDT730PAHB and Serial # F94519386. I had the dishwasher 10 days and it stopped working after running only two times. I checked the breaker box and all electrical connections to the machine and it was getting electricity, but would not turn on at all. I called the store to return it and they only have a 7 day return policy. Since then Whirlpool has been contacted and I have had two service calls from Whirlpool. The mother board has been replaced (which I waited two weeks for the part & five hours for a service man) and still it will not come on. Now I am waiting on a wire harness, ordered on March 4th or 5th and still not here. I completely understand wanting to fix a broken machine, however this was a new dishwasher that only worked for 2 washes. I have now been without a dishwasher for almost 2 months, which in light if our current world situation isnt a huge deal, however this is a time when sanitation is very important. I feel like Whirlpool should offer to replace my new machine with a new machine and not something that is refurbished. At this point it is costing more to repair this machine than to just replace it. When I called about this I was told it was cosmetic and not covered under warranty. I purchased the extended warranty which will replace the flimsy parts with the same flimsy parts. On 6/24/2024 Denisia sent me new side rails, exactly the type I have. I replaced them but the right side one broke. I regret ever owning one and will not recommend a whirlpool product to anyone. It is very obvious to anyone, after using this product, that that particular part is not safe and is definitely more than a cosmetic problem. So I thought Id take the trans apart and after pulling the plastic agitator out I noticed the tub had completely rusted in half! The tub dropped down about an inch. The agitator would spin but the tub just sat there. Now came the difficult part. I told them I was quite sure about my diagnostic that it needed a new tub and told them I could send them a video (I even posted a video on Facebook and Twitter). But they said they would have to send a man out at $180 to make sure! After several days of back and forth conversations, someone at Whirlpool finally saw the video and agreed to send us a new tub. I havent gotten it yet but have heard through the grapevine that these tubs were supposed to be replaced if rusted because of the quality of metal used? So other than pulling a few teeth and needing to replace the tub, our washer has been a pretty good machine.

A couple of weeks later, the F-1 codes started then the F-51 codes. On July of 10, it was code after code. It sounded like a jet taking off and constant unbalanced load. I called repairman and was told to go buy new machine as repairs would start at $500 and since I live in a rural area, no one wanted to waste their time. Two repair techs told me point blank they wouldnt even touch it. We paid $1000 for this machine and we live pay check to pay check. I spent four months trying to get Whirlpool to do something. I kept getting told I should have bought extended warranty. Machine has been sitting under stairs for over year waiting to see if class action or recall can be done. Also when control board was replaced, the repair man told me it was rusting away from the inside out. My husband had to find us a used washer and this thing has done nothing but cost us money. So much for efficiency. Everyone posting here also needs to go to Whirlpools Facebook page and post there.

The drum has had to be replaced twice, the motor once, and then supposedly a bolt kept coming off on the drum as well, that had to be tightened twice. Now, we dont know what is wrong with it - we suspect suspension imbalance or something, because this extra large capacity washer is constantly unbalanced even with 6 articles of fabric in it now, and I dont even think about putting even what would be considered a medium-large load in it, because it flat up will not wash. You can put a level on it, and it shows leveled, but it still wont operate worth anything. My wife is so put out by it at this point that she has even talked about getting an old ringer washer (seriously). Sears keeps coming out here because we had purchased the extended warranty and truly if they had simply replaced the washer after the 2nd trip to the house, they would have more than paid for the replacement washer even. Instead, they keep coming, looking at it, then having to order parts, and then come back a couple weeks later to put the shipped parts (which sit around our house), back in to repair it each time. All the while, we go without a washer or barely can wash any clothes. We have even taken clothes to the laundromat during one of the repair instances, because we cant just have mounds of clothes piled up for their month-long service. It is ridiculous how little it seems that Sears and Whirlpool care about their customers. I have gone to Whirlpool and Sears Home Services sites and complained at both. I have called both of their 800 lines in the past and again, this yielded nothing to truly depict either company cares. It just goes to prove that customer satisfaction is far less valuable to either of these companies than the bottom dollar profits in our opinion. I dont know where else to post our concerns/frustrations, so anyone can see how put out these two companies have caused us and dont care, but if anyone knows of anywhere else I can post blogged concerns, please let me know.I have complained previously about a dishwasher that we had purchased that we had numerous issues with. Those complaints fell on deaf ears to Whirlpool and really Sears as well. I dont think all the washers are duds, but this one has been nothing but trouble, and Sears wont just replace it, Whirlpool dont care. I have been given the runaround that it is because there arent three (3) service calls in a 12-month period for the exact same issue. Well, I am sorry that it doesnt appear to be just one thing! I have had it with these services calls, parts having to be ordered, only to hit the crazy repeat button again every time! Yes, Ive read the manual front to back. Yes, Ive tried all the troubleshooting suggestions. No, they dont make a damn bit of difference.I would give anything to have my old front loader back. It was a great little machine that did a wonderful job of cleaning our laundry. Pet hair was washed off, I could lay things out to dry and they werent all wrinkly and did not require ironing. Just about everything that comes out of this cabrio machine that I lay to dry needs to be ironed before it can be worn. It is just a horrible, horrible machine and Whirlpool should be ashamed of themselves for foisting this off on unsuspecting consumers.

Less than 6 months after I had been using it, I noticed that all my husband’s shirts were getting sweat stains under the arms and my hand towels were very smelly after drying with them one time. I called Sears to have someone come out and tell us what the problem was. He said I was using too much detergent so I reduced the amount of what I was using. It did not help the problem so I started using the extra rinse each time I washed, still did not fix the problem. I called them out 3 more times in 2011. One tech told me I was still using too much detergent so I reduced down to 1 tablespoon like he suggested. I stopped using softener in my washer because he said I needed to clean my machine more than one time a month, to clean it every 3 weeks. No solution to the problem still. I have had a tech from Sears and one from Whirlpool (who incidentally was the same man, he was from A&E Appliances). When he came in the door, my husband told him he had been here before and I said 2 times. He lied and said he had not been out before. Are we blind? No. He ran the cycle but sat in his truck while he was running it. None of the techs have ever put a tool on the machine to check if the water level is right. They just stand there and tell us to change the amount of detergent or clean the machine with Clorox more often. I cleaned it 8 days in a row and the clothes still smell and still do not get cleaned. We talked to main man at Whirlpool and said they couldnt do anything because their 1 year warranty had run out. We have been using Whirlpool appliances for over 30 years but I will not ever buy another one. I have probably had 5 Whirlpool washers over the years but never had a problem until we got this Cabrio top loader without an agitator. I would not recommend this washer to my worst enemy, if I had one.

The energy efficiency this item claims means that you will spend a ridiculous amount of time waiting for your load to finish. My family hates this machine and I regularly have to hear about how long the load is taking because the timer adjusts continually. Put in a QUICK load and it said 38 minutes, came back in 30 and it said 24 minutes. It is so frustrating!!! We are afraid to put anything on a heavy soil setting or anything other than quick, because it can take 2-3 hours to complete. I have to schedule a day to wash my bedding and there isnt any convenience in doing a quick load. I am going to have to sell this one and purchase another washer. What a loss!! Im hoping it will make a big dent in sales because I know then they will listen and act! I purchased it in 2006 for $800, thinking this Cabrio 6400SW is a dream, I can get more done in less time (at that time, there were seven in our family). However, problems within the first year, F1, but I was happy and still under warranty! It was fixed, only to start the problem again. This time, not under warranty! I really wish I had said yes to the extended warranty! Even the repair guy Whirlpool sent suggested it may be a good thing to get the extended warranty if I were you! I think he was trying to tell me something!My naive thought was, why spend more money we did not have? After all, it is a new machine! I did not comprehend that any company could sell and continue to sell something that was clearly a defective machine! Nor did I entertain the thought that a company would not stand behind their product! It is now 2012, I still have the machine because we have dealt with it and have/had no extra money to throw out at it. I have dealt with F1 for several years and did not contact Whirlpool, mostly out of lack of time to research what the deal was and if others were experiencing the same. In November 2011, after reading many complaints and frustrations on the internet and what results they got, I called Whirlpool. Using a level head, sugar sweet persona and a mindset of disbelief that Whirlpool would allow such problems, the customer service girl did her best with what she was told to reply with (meaning, there is nothing she can do). It is then that you ask to speak with a manager or director. I won in getting a repair guy out to fix the F1. They made it sound like they were doing me a onetime favor. The machine board was replaced, the repair person also thought there was an obstruction in the hose and he could fix it, but it would cost us money and suggested we try our hand at it first. We did find an obstruction and for one week, the machine was quietly working beautifully! Whirlpool even called to see about how it was working and my husband had answered that everything works well, not knowing that Ld is our new problem. Ld had started to pop up at the end of that week.So here it is July and Im so frustrated trying to get wash done. Im thinking of all the wasted time, all the wasted electricity and energy Ive spent trying to get this machine to work! My kids are trained to hit stop/pause if they hear it beeping. Some days we cant even get the clothes to spin dry. I try different cycles to get the machine to start and often have to cancel the cycle and change it to another cycle to get the machine to continue. Is there a smell? Yes, and I run the clean washer cycle twice in a row just about every other week now. That doesnt even seem to clean the washer anymore! Tangled clothes sometimes. Ld always, uL sometimes and a sound like it is trying to do something but is stuck. Lots of laundry to do! No money to fix it! Whirlpool needs to stop selling an inferior machine! I know one thing. Never Whirlpool again and I tell everyone not to go with Whirlpool Cabrio. Even one of my co-workers had one and bought a new washer (not Whirlpool) because of problems with her Cabrio only after three years! Do not purchase a Cabrio!

First it quit putting in the bleach. Next it quit adding water except under the heavy duty cycle. Then after about another week or so it quit putting in fabric softener. You have to stand there when the spin cycle starts, with your finger on the pause button, so you can rebalance the load, which is no easy task. My 80 minute whitest whites cycle took 2 1/2 hours to complete. Thank goodness I started the load at 5:30am. Items in freezer containers were covered in frost and labels unreadable. The interior light was frozen shut. Since the first service call we have had 8 service calls with multiple appliance dealers. No one can fix the frost issue. It just keeps recurring. Whirlpool did step up and extend our warranty for another year. In order to schedule a repair we have to call Whirlpool, a 45 minute phone call for an appliance company not of our choice to make the service call. The unit has been removed from our home for repair in dealers shop. Very inconvenient for us to have no refrigerator. Whirlpool has refused to replace the unit, choosing instead to patch-patch-patch one service call at a time. Whirlpool has enjoyed years of an excellent reputation. We are very disappointed. This is no longer true.

What I found was the glass top had melted and blistered and was cracked from front to the back of the stove. Although Lowes was not able to help me, they suggested that I contact you as they had never heard of this happening before. Not only am I dissatisfied that a stove should last many years past this purchase, I am inconvenienced until another stove can be delivered. I believe this to be a factory malfunction of the stove and request a credit for my purchase.

F7 came up on the controls which meant that the magnetron failed in this second microwave as well. We called Whirlpool and they said they would only repair it if we paid for the repair which would have cost almost as much as a new microwave and maybe more if other parts were involved. Next, last year, 2012, the pump on our Whirlpool dishwasher broke and once again, it was too expensive to repair it. We had to buy another dishwasher so we bought a Maytag, not knowing that they were made by Whirlpool. I guess we will have to wait until that guarantee is up before that also breaks. Also, last year, our Whirlpool washer pump broke and that cost us a few hundred dollars to repair.From the complaints that I am reading from people about their Whirlpool appliances, it is seems that their products are made to last just until the warranties expire. We should start a class action against Whirlpool. On many sites, I have read numerous complaints about Whirlpool products, the majority about the magnetrons in their microwave ovens breaking during and shortly after guarantees run out. They should not be allowed to get away with this. BBB, Consumer Affairs, where are you? To the many of you who have been burned by Whirlpool, I hope you have contacted the BBB and Consumer Affairs and maybe even the Attorney Generals office in your home state.

By June of 2016 and since, Ive had several repairman out to the house trying to figure out whats wrong with my washer. 9 times out of 10, it will not spin the excess water out and the clothes are soaked. Sometimes it takes me an hour to get the washer to go through a spin cycle. Sometimes the washer wont go into a cycle at all, it just makes a horrible noise (like its draining) and never does anything. It doesnt put out enough water in larger loads, so Ive had to cut my load size in half. It wont work on half the cycle options on the screen, only working on bulky or heavy. Wont wash on normal or quick wash or any of the others. It will make that same horrible sound and do nothing. Nobody can tell me whats wrong with the stupid washer and the repairman said he sees issues with Whirlpool all the time. He said save myself money and buy something else. But I remember a time when a washer and dryer would last for 20 years. What happened to quality products and craftsmanship. I am so tired of the new and fancy appliances that dont last and these companies that dont stand behind their products. Whirlpool you should be ashamed. I will never buy another one of your products. There should be a recall on these particular Cabrio units especially after all the horrible reviews I just read.

The main board panel lights turned all and the washer did not start. Called Whirlpool several times and nobody could help me and told me to look online for a distribution center to get parts. The customer service only knew about regular washers not coin operator. The washer had only 3 months warranty from Home Depot and I was supposed to pay for all the repairs and Whirlpool would pay for parts. So far I spend $400 in repairs and the certified technicians could not repair the washer. They replaced the actuator shift, the main board etc, etc and nothing. The technicians reset the washer at least 10 times, calling Whirlpool tech support and the washer worked for one load and the main board lights stayed on all over again, the start button did not work. I sent a letter to the warranty department that I got online and they told me to call the same 1800 that I had called at least 50 times in the past year. Now it has been more than one year and the machine is defective. Technician said could be the soap that my tenants are using, or overloading the washer or an electric problem that they cannot identify. I gave up... I will not buy a coin operator heavy duty washer from them again. I requested a return authorization for a defective product and I did not get anywhere. Thanks.

I used bulk load and heavy duty load and it doesnt work. Your product is a very big disappointment for the price a person has to pay. I will recommend that no one purchase this product. The first time it went out at 6 months and the second was two days after the factory warranty expired (the warranty for the Whirlpool repair company lasted only 90 days for parts and labor which is useless). I’ve called the company to come take a look and it will cost over $100 just to have someone come out since we are outside the factory warranty window by four whole days. I was basically told there is nothing they will do even though the same problem keeps happening. This refrigerator was brand new and didn’t even make it six months.Now we will need to either pay hundreds of dollars for repairs (knowing that the issue will likely happen again) or buy a new refrigerator. Even though we have barely had this appliance a year. I will never, ever buy Whirlpool products ever again. I also posted my negative rev on their official website and it never got published. They only show their 4-5 star reviews (all of which say the customer has been incentivized in some way). This is a misleading and sneaky process.

Whirlpool says it will pay for the part only. Plumber will cost 150-200 dollars. All the plumbers I have talked to will not repair them, then they are held responsible when it goes out! As a disabled Vet I cannot afford to throw 400-600 dollars away. And, Whirlpool tells me that if they give me an RA number to replace the HWH, it will have to be a Whirlpool from Lowes. Great! Whirlpool quarterly report looks very good. Mine doesnt look as good. What can be done about a poor working product? Or is this too big to fail? Let me know.

We have a Whirlpool Quiet Wash Plus dishwasher thats been doing a great job cleaning our dishes for just shy of 24 years. We use a cleaner every 2-3 months to keep everything cleaned out and sanitized. We use a liquid detergent and a rinse aid and the dishes come out clean every time. We feel like weve been blessed with this machine and would definitely buy Whirlpool again.

Whirlpool WRT351SFYW 21.1 cu.ft. White Top Freezer Refrigerator - Energy... Puts out a very irritating high pitch noise, unlike my previous Whirlpool Refrig. The old one was perfectly quiet. I believe Whirlpool is going down hill in every way. WP is buying refrigerators from 3rd world countries and slapping the name on them. The delivery people were very rude with me when I was unable to give them a tip, even though I had to supply my truck to shuttle the refrig. up to my house and help them unload it. I also had to go and find them when they would not follow my directions to my house. So, they kept the wrench I loaned them; they did not have their own tools for the installation. And they refused to return it when I asked them to do so. Denvers customer service refused to respond in any way to my requests for information or complaints about the noise and delivery. Finally, their head office contacted me a month or two later, and the customer service person had initiated the discussion in argumentative attitude despite my saying I did not care anymore. I gave up on them and dont expect anything from Whirlpool anymore. While she told me that there are standard levels of acceptable noise that come from their refrigerator, she refused to acknowledge that they are not my standards, and I am the customer. Besides, I had an older Whirlpool refrig. that did not make any noise. I am sorry trusted WP. When I tried to upgrade the old refrig. - it was an expensive downgrade! Buy LG or Amana - wished I did!
