(Contains Manga Spoilers, especially for a major battle.)
This is my first concept here. Damage numbers, cooldowns, and everything else is obviously subject to change.
Frieren will be holding her staff.
Misc. Roster
Bio: “The Slayer."
Passive 1: Magic M1s
M1ing summons a magic circle that fires a tiny beam. The circle functions like Gilgamesh's M1, but has a much more similar pace and feeling to Sinon's M1s, so it's less awkward to use.
Passive 2: Defensive Magic
Blocking summons a magic shield in front of Frieren. Once the shield breaks, Frieren does not suffer from the guard break animation or stun, instead she gains temporary hyper armor when the shield breaks. This is because the shield is externally made away from her body.
While in a broken shield state, Frieren uses her staff to block, she can now be guardbroken like normal. Hexagon fragments will float around Frieren to indicate if her shield is broken, letting others know if they can engage her more safely. To remake the shield, just block and the hexagons will form one by one. This will take 5 seconds and appear similar to Asuna's Heal Spell or Jolyne' Stitch. Unblocking will cancel it. If the user takes chip damage or the block absorbs some damage, the casting will be interrupted. An sfx will appear to indicate if the shield is fixed.
1. Float
Frieren uses flying magic to make herself float for 3 seconds. While floating, her moves are buffed to benefit her change in altitude. This can also be used as a trick to escape incoming damage or ground attacks. If used while already mid-air, (uptilit height), it instantly puts you afloat.
CD: 16 (no move used), 22 (a move is used), 26 (if combined with 3 and/or 4) | Moveset Changer
2. Offensive Magic: Zoltraak
Frieren holds out her staff to where the player is pointing. A bluish white magic circle grows at the staff's tip before firing a beam.
GB | 30 DMG | 24s CD | Range: 21.5 Studs
Zoltraak (Hold Space)
Frieren waves her staff up as six magic beams charge up behind her and tracks onto a target.
Blockable | 27 DMG (4.5 x 6) | 18s CD | Range: 21 Studs
3. Destructive Lightning: Judradjim
Frieren slams her staff to the ground. Purple lightning comes out the staff, shocking the floor and knocking enemies away. Once the staff is lifted, a small purple orb will stick to the tip of the staff. The orb changes Frieren's M1s to firing purple lightning beams that deal 1.15x damage of normal M1s (4.1 to 4.7).
This Buff lasts 15 seconds.
Blockable | 12 DMG | 30s CD, 25 if whiffed | Range: 5 Studs | Combo Ender
Judradjim (Mid-Air)
The tip of the staff sparks purple before it casts forward four lightning bolts that arc and close in on the target. The bolts hit separately, so it can stun for a good amount of time.
Blockable | Damage: 8 per bolt | 18s CD | Range: 18 Studs | Combo Starter, Extender
4. Hellfire Summoning: Vollzanbel
Frieren swings her staff up as hellfire bursts from the ground in front of her, melting through the floor. This fire spreads forward and creates an 8 second area of looping fire. If Frieren is in the fire, her staff has the ability to drag the flames, allowing an M1 to slap the flames forward. These flame slaps deal 3 damage.
An M1 with fire would deal 7.3 DMG, which is 0.2 more than Chidori Katana (7.1). A complete M1 combo non-aerial will deal a total of 36.9, 16 more than a normal one.
Combined with Judradjim a single M1 in the fire would deal 7.7 DMG. A complete M1 combo non-aerial will deal a total of 38.9. Just 2 more damage than without Judradjim.
GB (Burst), Blockable (Flames) | 24 DMG (burst), 4 each sec standing in the fire, 0.5 chip damage, 3 per flame slap | 28 CD | Size: 12 Studs
Vollzanbel (Hold Space)
The staff fires 3 splats of hellfire, hellish dark red flames, that stick onto enemies. These flames can travel ground rather far and damage multiple enemies, even those behind the original target.
GB (Splats), Blockable (Ground Flames) | 12 per splat, 1.2 x 5 fire damage over time | 23 CD | Range: 8 Studs | Combo Starter, Extender
Float Moveset (1 + Skill)
Mana Slice
Replaces Float. Frieren swings down her arm to send out a large gust of sharp mana. If the first hit connects, Frieren charges down to the target and delivers two more cuts, before slamming them to the ground and using a larger slice, knocking the target away afterwards.
Blockable | 24 DMG (5 x 3 + 9) | Range: 16 Studs | Combo Ender
Zoltraak
Summon a blue magic circle that keeps firing out beams to the target. After the barrage, a magic circle appears that fires out a regular Zoltraak.
Blockable, GB (Last Beam) | 18 DMG (0.9 x 20), 30 last beam | 24 CD | Range: 24 Studs
Judradjim + Float
If the user has the Judradjim M1 buff active and then uses Float. Once Frieren ascends, she discharges the purple orb and leaves behind the lightning below her. The purple lightning spreads across the ground, leaving her enemies in the dust, and in shock. Float will activate as normal after this.
Blockable | 16 DMG | Size: 12 Studs
Judradjim (While Floating)
Clutch the staff as purple lightning cracks, causing a big lightning orb to materialize behind her. The orb shocks the environment, bolting anything nearby with purple lightning. After 6 seconds, the orb shrinks and explodes into a beautiful explosion of lightning.
Blockable, GB (Explosion) | Damage: 8 per bolt, 24 explosion | 28 CD | Range: 15 Studs
Vollzanbel + Float
Use Float while inside the Vollzanbel area of flowing fire. Once Frieren ascends, the burst power from the flight causes the flames to spread upward and outward, the flames scatter farther before it disappears. Float will activate as normal after this.
This can be used while having Judradjim active, and it will perform both of them at the same time, totalling to 34 damage (16 + 18)
Blockable | 18 DMG | Size: 12 Studs
Vollzanbel (While Floating)
Frieren blasts hellfire to the floor. Once the blasts of flames touch the ground, it spreads and flows out, vaporizing everything beneath for 4 seconds.
GB (Blast), Blockable (Flow) | 24 DMG blast, 9 per sec staying in the fire, 1.2 chip damage | 30s CD | Size: 18 Studs
Awakening: Frieren the Slayer
Frieren is up in the air, clutching her staff in her hands and slowly descending back down to the ground. Upon landing, she stops suppressing her mana and reveals that her true mana covers about 26 x 26 studs (8 studs less than Law's Room in awakening). Anybody within the range of her aura has a chance of getting hit by her AOE attacks. The aura is a great indicator to get out of there as fast as you can.
The mana suppresses again when awakening ends.
Awakening Music is Frieren the Slayer OST.
Passive 1: Omnidirectional Defense
Same properties as the base shield, but this time the shield defends the player from all directions, and requires a total of 40 damage to break. Its health and condition is determined by the amount of hexagons around Frieren. To remake the broken shield, hold block, and the process takes 6 seconds.
Q-Dash
The Q-dash teleport effect leaves behind a swirling white afterimage instead of the regular flash step effect.
1. Mana Strike
A spiky ball of mana appears from Frieren's hand. She explodes it forward into slashes, cutting up targets and knocking them away.
Blockable | 30 DMG | Cooldown: 15 | Range: 4 Studs
Mana Strike (Mid-Air)
Frieren palms her left hand down as she scatters four balls of Mana Strike. Once they land, the mana starts to deal continuous slash damage to anyone near them. After 2 seconds, they explode upward into spiky explosions.
Blockable, GB (Explosion) | 0.4 x 15 (each ball), 16 each explosion | 19 CD | Aggressive, Multi-Hit | Size: 9 Studs
2. Miniature Black Hole
A black hole glows from Frieren's hand, then it flies upward. After reaching the intended height, the black hole increases its gravitational pull, grows a lot stronger and starts sucking in the surroundings, including people and terrain. After 5 seconds, the blackhole has buried everything into a lump of rocks, before exploding purple and scattering debris everywhere.
Blockable (Pull and Debris), GB (Explosion) | 50 (explosion) 18 if blocked, 3 per debris | 35s CD | Range: 22 Studs
3. Funeral of Shattering Flowers
A white light starts swirling above Frieren. She then starts brewing the light with her staff. This light creates a blue transparent circle that grows and shrinks repeatedly. This causes spheres to lift up and bump into each other. These spheres start randomly changing colors and oscillating in the sky. After gathering many colorful spheres, two black spheres stand out, and the blue circle shatters, dealing damage to everyone in the vicinity.
Using this move will take away 3 bars of awakening.
Guardbreak | 65 DMG, 22 if blocked | 30s CD | Size: 23 Studs
4. Human Killing Zoltraak
Frieren's aura starts swirling up like a tornado. She then summons a gigantic magic circle in front of her, firing an overwhelming dark beam that's bigger than the magic circle, causing it to overflow behind her. The beam has a bluish white outline and rings around it.
Guardbreak | ~85 DMG (varies) | 45s CD | Range: 28 Studs
The Height of Magic
Once Frieren has 20% HP left (24 HP), the awakening bar will glow white. The player must then hold block and make someone break their shield for this move to activate (The shield only requires 16 damage to break this time). On break, Frieren is forced to use her trump card. First, her mana field disappears. She stands still and stare at the target who broke her shield, before violently blasting them away. This knocks the target to the farthest reaches of the map and Frieren increases the pressure placed on the target before they eventually die.
This ends awakening. If you do not want to use this move yet then avoid getting guard broken, but that's difficult when having 24 HP left. Creating this dilemma whether to use your trump card now or start running and play cooldowns.
Ignores Block | Inf or 500 DMG | One-time-use | Range: 50+ Studs
