Welcome to Naval Base Ventura County
Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) is a key DoD naval infrastructurecomposed of three Fleet operating installations- Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island. NBVC is strategically located in the coastal area of Southern California which provides direct access to the Point Mugu Sea Range, the largest instrumented Sea Range in the world.NBVC is home to the Pacific Seabees, the West Coast E-2/D Hawkeyes, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center PHD, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Engineering & Expeditionary Warfare Center, Unmanned Surface Vessel Division 1, and 80 tenant commands.

2023 US Armed Forces Triathlon Championship

WASHINGTON - With a dominating performance, the All-Navy Triathlon men’s team won gold at the 2023 Armed Forces Triathlon Championship held at Naval Base Ventura County’s Point Mugu Beach on April 1. LCDR Kyle Hooker led the All-Navy Team by finishing 1st place overall with a time of 1:52:22. This is Hooker’s sixth Armed Forces Triathlon individual gold medal.
